What are your rates?
For new homes, we charge by per-square-foot, plus design fee. Once McPete Drafting & Design has met with you and understand your needs, we will establish a fixed price. For remodels we charge by hour and can also develop
a set price for your project.

How fast can I get my plans?
McPete Drafting & Design can typically get a preliminary set of plans back to you within 7-10 days.
With our FASTRACK service we can get it back to you within 3-5 days.

Am I able to get a permit?
Yes. All our stock plans are Minnesota built permit ready plans

Why I can’t buy house plans from a web company?
Plans available over the internet are generic in nature and do not meet the building specifications codes for MN. Even if the web company is willing to modify them (at your expense), they still would not be able to call out the exact materials that customers would use. For instance, Minnesota uses basements versus crawlspace on grade construction. Even if the website stock plan company could draw the basement effectively, it is a generic basement that does not include all the precise foundation details that a specific basement inspector would require.
